About Me

Oli is an accomplished and versatile musical director, pianist, arranger, vocal coach, and composer, working across a broad range of genres. After graduation from the University of Cambridge, Oli was awarded the Lesley Hayes Award by Help Musicians UK to study Musical Direction at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Oli has worked on a diverse portfolio of projects, and has a particular interest in developing new musicals. He is currently serving as the Assistant Musical Director for Kit Buchan and Jim Barne’s debut show, Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York), at the Criterion Theatre in the West End.

During the Covid lockdowns, Oli wrote an original musical with his collaborator Andy Room called The Night Our Parents Disappeared, which has since been workshopped and presented in concert at The Other Palace and The Lowry. Their song “The Inventor’s Daughter” was a finalist for the Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize in 2022.
